Originally, this "The Power And The Glory" was released as a LP in 1983, and Sony music did it Re-released in October 1990 in CD format. Jimmy Cliff, was born in Somertorn District, Jamaica in 1 April 1948, and moved to Kingston in 1962. And this "The Power And The Glory" is one of his best classical album ever released, consist of 9 solid reggae tracks of positivity and energy. The smash hit Reggae Night, as well as another joyful tribute to Jamaica, `Sunshine In The Music'. In the original 1983's The Power and the Glory inaugurated his partnership with Kool the Gang, and the album was nominated for a Grammy.Latoya Jackson also once did a cover song of "Reggae Night" and got her grammy award nomination for her album "No Relations".
if you're into a music with positive lyrics, then you will enjoy listening & dancing to good upbeat reggae, to my opinion "The Power And The Glory" is the best record jimmy cliff has made so far.
