It was the thirth album from Indonesian rock legend leading act - God Bless, released in 1988 under Loggis Records ( a well known rock label in Indonesia ). Consist of 10 tracks, includes the phenomenal hits such "Semut Hitam" and the powerfull balad track entitled "Rumah Kita". In "Semut Hitam" God Bless has shifted their music direction towards hard rock music and even thought the shift is quite significant, God Bless can still maintain its characteristics through three dominant members: Ahmad Albar (lead vocal), Ian Antono (guitar) and Donny Fattah (bass), supported by genius keyboard work by Jockie Soeryoprayogo. Jockie had even successfully crafted excellent pop rock hit with a bout of symphonic touch through “Kehidupan”. It was sold more than 400,000 copies, It’s been the highest achievement any Indonesian rock band can achieve this commercial success in terms of rock music at the time. Not to be overstatement, but i think God Bless with their "Semut Hitam" is a most excellent hard rock album ever released in Indonesia.
