The Hellacopters - Grande Rock

The Hellacopters was a garage rock band formed in sweden 1994, and this "Grande Rock" Cd is the thirth full lenght studio album released in June 1999 under Sup Pop Records. The Hellacopters was originally founded as a side project by the Entombed drummer Nicke Andersson on vocals and guitar and Dregen from Backyard Babies who was a former roadie who had worked for Entombed. And with this "Grande Rock", The Hellacopters play kick-ass, butt-stomping rock like Ted Nugent at his most gonzo, MC5 at their most coherent, and Mudhoney at their least bratty. The focus on this album is Stones-based garage rock perfectly combined with intensity and energy that puts them over the top. Just listen to the slabs of meaty hooks, primal vocal screams, raging tornado drum rolls, and ear-searing guitar solos. Their garage sound always make the people come into the dance floor and doing some raw drunken dance. Recommended!
